Rebecca Brock

Rebecca Brock is the author of The Way Land Breaks (Sheila-Na-Gig Editions, 2023) and Each Bearing Out (Kelsay Books, 2022). Her awards include The Lascaux Poetry Prize, the Kelsay Books Women's Poetry Prize, the Atlantis Prize and The Comstock Review’s Muriel Craft Bailey Memorial Poetry Contest, among others. 

 

A MacDowell Fellow, she holds an MFA from The Bennington Writing Seminars and is the recipient of a Virginia Commission for the Arts Fellowship. Her work has been published in The Threepenny Review, CALYX, Mom Egg Review, New Ohio Review, Radar Poetry, The Shore, Whale Road Review & elsewhere, including several anthologies. Her poetry has been nominated for Best of the Net and the Pushcart Prizes.

She has lived in Virginia for nearly 20 years and still isn't used to the humidity.  She has been a flight attendant for most of her adult life and is still surprised by this fact.
